Coach Information & FAQs

Coach Access & Credentials

  • NPC Card Requirement (Non-Negotiable)
All coaches entering backstage MUST have a 'current year' NPC card.
No card = no backstage access, no exceptions per the NPC.
  • Backstage access only on show day
  • One coach pass per registered competitor/team (or state policy)
  • Pass includes access to designated backstage areas ONLY
  • Does NOT include:
    • On-stage access
    • VIP areas unless separately purchased

Athlete Check-In: What to Expect

  • Athlete arrives at show venue (see map below)
    • Athlete shows NPC card + entry confirmation. Athletes can register on site, during check-ins for the April/November shows. July registrations MUST be completed before online registration closes.
    • Numbers/assignments distributed
    • Athletes are informed of timing of Competitor Meeting. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that all athletes attend the meeting. This is where they will hear our Head Expediter walk through the flow of the show, and have the opportunity to ask any last minute questions.
    • Athletes check in with NPC Judges.
    • Athletes leave to rest/tan/prepare for show day!
  • Stage time - The first athlete steps on stage exactly at the show start time. Please do NOT tell your athletes they can show up at a different time. They run the risk of missing their class. Our shows flow fast and smooth.
  • Show Day - Athletes should arrive to the venue before the Competitor Meeting and show ready. They should be ready to step on stage as soon as the competitor meeting is finished.

Tanning Logistics

  • Official tanning = host hotel with Olympia Tanning
  • No tanning at the high school. The tanning company will be moving to the venue during the competitor meeting to setup for touch-ups and glaze for the show. Athletes must be paid in full with the tanning company for their touch-ups and glaze.
To create the best environment, all coaches and athletes are expected to follow MMVANPC and NPC show policies. Venue staff and MMVANPC management have final direction on all logistical decisions. We expect professionalism and cooperation so athletes can focus.
And most of all, we want everyone to have fun and enjoy the day. It's time to show off all the hard work!
